Leica Smartphone Debut: Huawei P9 Leaked Photos Show Dual Camera
Last month, Leica announced that it is partnering with the Chinese Company, Huawei, to reinvent mobile photography. It is possible that this partnership will result in a grand camera feature on the next Huawei flagship: Huawei P9. Consequently, a leaked photo of the upcoming flagship from Huawei reveals a dual camera system, making it the first to feature a Leica glass.
VentureBeat, who had received the photo from a source who have had a hands-on experience with the smartphone, released the photo of the new flagship.
The smartphone will reportedly come with a dual rear camera and is codenamed ‘Eva’.
The latest trend this year is all about smartphones with dual camera. According to speculations, phones that have the dual camera system will come with lot of benefits such as better image shooting in low light situations, simulated depth of field, special filters, higher image quality, and powerful zoom capability. Even the iPhone 7 has been rumored to be one of the first smartphones to feature the dual camera system.
According to reports reaching us at the Etoren Blog, the Leica manufactured lenses on the P9 will feature 12 MP sensors.
Other specs on the new Huawei smartphone include a 3900 mAh battery, 5.2 inches full HD display, an octa-core processor and a reversible USB Type-C connector.
At the time of writing this article, there is no pricing information from the source of the report. However, we expect that this phone will be announced at the middle of 2016 with more or less of the specs we have listed here. It will indeed be interesting to see what this smartphone will come with, how users will receive it and how it will stack up with the other smartphones.
