The Gear Fit2 fitness tracker

This Gear Fit2 could performance important function without being paired with a smartphone – this is the major difference between this version and the previous version.

The Gear Fit2 allows you to play tunes through a pair of headphones, thanks to the music player built directly onboard the 2nd generation fitness tracker.

You can load up the 4GB of onboard storage from a paired smartphone and all your music files can be played on the device.

You can also play your favourite workout playlists through a spotify app. Thanks to the 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display you can now view clear and colorful images on the Gear Fit 2.

What’s more, it comes with a GPS radio, which allows you to monitor your runs even if your phone is not with you. During your workout, you can view real-time data, including calorie burn hear rate and other fitness stats.

The Gear Fit2 does not cower from heavy duty workouts. With a gyroscope barometer, it will detect when you climb up hills. It is available in two sizes: a small band that weighs 28g and a bigger version that weighs 30g.

The beauty of the Gear Fit2 is that it is more intelligent and smarter than other fitness tracker out there. Unlike other fitness trackers that require you to input the kind of exercise you want before it starts working, this fitness tracker can easily pick up anything fitness activity you are into. It comes with a built in sensor and algorithm that makes this easy so no need to waste time telling your device what you intend doing.

The Gear Fit2 is powered by a dual-core Samsung Exynos 3250 and runs on the Tizen operating system. Fortunately, you can use it as a standalone music player or for notifications (application, email, SMS, call).

IconX

The IconX is a set of wireless earbuds with inbuilt heart rate monitor and accelerator for tracking speed, heart rate, duration, and other fitness data.

While the Gear Fit2 will be available to online and in stores by June 10, the IconX will only become available in the 3rd quarter of this year.
